Hix Group Pty Ltd recently sponsored the Penrith Valley Economic Development Corporation Budget Breakfast and is an ongoing supporter of the Corporation . Our Company Profile can be found on the PVEDC Website.
Hix Electrical Services currently employs 8 Electrical Apprentices and is proud of the training we can offer our local young people.
We feel it is very important to take an active role in the employment of local youth and the business benefits from this through providing valuable careers for those who undertake their training with our diverse organisation.Each year ,additional Apprentices are employed as those who have completed their training move onto more responsible roles as Licensed Electricians within the organisation.
In addition, as Supakwik Hot Water and Plumbing continues to grow , we have also employed 2 Plumbing Apprentices to join our Licensed Tradespeople in providing an extremely high standard of service .
We are very proud of our structured Apprentice Training Programs and believe that we offer great opportunities for our young people.
Our involvement through Careers programs at local high schools and on the board of the "Schools Industry Partnership" through the Penrith Valley Chamber of Commerce allow us to keep in touch with the community and to support the needs of young people whilst promoting our Industy.
Hix Group philosophy is to 'put something back' into the community and this encompasses the Young Achiever Program at Penrih Anglican College, where we assist students with our knowledge of small business. Lea is also active in OZWAC, Australian Women and Children's Research Foundation, which raises funds for much needed research into women and children's health issues.
Lea is a recent addition to the Execuive Committee of the Chamber of Commerce and is on the Board of the Schools Industry Partnership.
Ian Hicks is active on the Board of the Penrith Business Advisory Centre and is a supporter of Penrith Valley Chamber of Commerce .
